I'm Erica Jordan Middleton, and I am a proud resident of the Houston Museum District! One of my favorite things is exploring the district with my husband and daughter and our extended family members and friends. When our godchildren, nieces, and nephews come to visit, we enjoy taking them all over the area.

 

If you are visiting Houston with children, the Museum District is arguably the best place to serve as your home base. (I'm biased, of course!) It has amazing play spaces, world-class museums, and easy Metro access to Midtown, Downtown, and NRG (for the legendary Houston Rodeo & Livestock Show in early Spring). You can explore so much in this specific area without spending your entire trip stuck in traffic.

 

In this blog, I will share some local tips and resources about the Museum District and also share tips about a few other places that are worth a drive if you are in Houston with your family. While I love some good downtime to wander while on vacation, but there are also times when Mama needs a plan! If you need some insider tips, I've got you covered!
